So one of the reasons is the newest member of our family. If you read Mom's blog you already know about him. If you don't, here he is.
His name is Leo, he's 23 and gray with freckles. If you ask Max, his name IS Freckles.....
He came to us for free, we are his retirement home and we're thrilled to have him! He's fitting right in. It's been wonderful rediscovering this side of myself again. The kids are all thrilled to have me on a horse next to them. We're covering more ground and riding more regularly and they love that. We have to have assigned days for them to ride!

So will Leo get snow shoes for the winter when the snow is piled 10 feet high? Or will he get his own snowmobile? He looks very content and has probably seen a bit of snow in his 23 years so I doubt he's worried about how high the snow gets! I, on the other hand, would worry even though the snowmobile riding would be tempting!
